Advantages: Does what it claims to do
Disadvantages: Hangs heavily on the air when you spray, rather chemial smell
I use this every single day, and since I bought it in December from Boots I have noticed a definate difference in the finish my hair has - it looks much smoother and more glossy, like it is when I get it done professionally.
It comes in a 200ml frosted clear plastic bottle and it has an atomiser squirty top to use it. The liquid itself is pink-tinged and the logo on the front is red and pale pink, with the Trevor Sorbie logo in the top centre in grey lettering.
It is advertised as a 'Protect, Flatten and Shine Spray' and it claims that it gives salon polish to those that over-use the straighteners (so it was made for me really then!). It is designed to help protect hair form heat and environmental damage and contains anti-oxidants and a UV filter.
I use it every day after washing and drying my hair and I started using it 5 weeks ago. My hairstyle is an above-shoulders concave bob, to give you a comparative idea, and I would say that just over a quarter of the bottle is gone. I would estimate at this rate then a 200ml bottle should last me around 4 months.
It has a fairly noticeable smell which I would not say is a nice smell, but it is not unpleasant either, just a bit too chemical for my liking.
You spray it onto each section of dried hair before you straighten it, to give heat protection and add shine.
I would recommend this product as it does make my hair look noticably more polished. On the couple of occasions I forgot to use it my hair was a bit more flyaway than it is when I use it. It gives my hair excellent shine and makes it look really glossy.
The only problem is that because it makes her more sleek and shiny, the next morning it tends to make it look a but greasy so I find myself having to wash my hair every day. It looks more styled that way anyway so it is not a big issue but it does leave hair a bit greasier than when you don't use it, so if you need to go out the next day without having time to wash and blowdry it perhaps use a little bit less.
I also think it is worth mentioning that it really hangs heavily in the air for a good while after you spray (even more so than hairspray which seems a bit odd) so don't use it with children in the room!
Summary: Works as the product name suggests it does!
