... brunette and now black all this year. My hair goes greasy and flat at the root but has the appearance of frizzy and slightly dry towards the ends cos of the split ends and I try really hard to get my hair to grow long but my hairdressers always tuts and cuts off bout 6 inches wittering on bout split ends. When my hair is wet it goes quite curly but it doesn't hold that well. I used to use this product as I said, way back it worked a dream! Most days I let my hair dry naturally or use a warm setting on hairdryer and t...more

Premium Review Umberto Giannini Curl Wake Up Spray: What a bloody mess (1357 words)

I first found this product years ago when it was called wake up curl, other reviews here were written a while ago so I thought I'd update the info for you a little! It's now called curl & twirl curl reviver spritz and I found it in the the pound shop! I was shocked, when I'd last bought it (in London it was at least £6.00 and it was never on offer back then so when I saw it I was amazed and pleased, it was like meeting up with an old pal out of the blue! A little about Umberto Gianni.... He's a hairdresser lol.... Basically he's dead now but he was incredibly famous, had loads of salons, loads of staff , lots of celebrity mates, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Promises the world. (277 words)

This product has quite a strong fragrance, but smells gorgeous (a bit like grapefruit). It is a pink tinted thin liquid and comes in a designer bottle. Priced at £4.50, it’s rather expensive, but it also promises the world, which I think is probably where it goes wrong. It guarantees “beautiful frizz free, curly hair, with incredible shine and movement”. It also claims to work on wet, dry, naturally curly, permed and heat styled hair but I found it works best on dry hair that has been styled in the morning and needs a quick fix and on hair that has not yet been styled and is still wet. It works less well on hair that is all frizz and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Umberto Giannini Curl Wake Up Spray: Don't buy this! (228 words)

I have naturally curly long hair, but I am always looking for new products that will make my hair look prettier. So, after wandering around boots I picked up Umberto Giannini Curl Wake Up Spray and at £4.50, I put a lot of hope into this product thinking it would work brilliantly. The product itself is a bottle, which is to be fair, is of quite a generous size, and the bottle is a light pink colour. The smell is different, I wouldn?t describe it as disgusting but I wouldn?t say it was beautiful and smelt of something I recognised. I have the product still, after seven months but this isn?t because it is so good I don?t use it, it?s because it is of no ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not the best product from the range (223 words)

I have hair that I can either have straight or curly if I scrunch it so I'm pretty lucky in that repect. I started to use the umberto range for curly hair as is smells like Jean Paul Gautiere (spelled wrong prob) it smells GORGEOUS, my friends kept asking 'who smells nice? I can smell something really good' and after a bit of detective work (smelling my hair) they were like 'Wow, that smells great!' This product does smell good but not as good as the scrunching jelly from the range which is ace by the way. I slept on my curls and woke up the next morning to spray the product on as it says you should, i tried and tried first a bit then a lot ...  Read the complete review
