“ Brand: Umberto Giannini / Type: Styling Mist / Subcategory: Gloss / Further Category: Styling Products „
I got this because the description and packaging attracted me to the product. What a total waste of money, in future I will stick to cheaper shine products as they seem to work much better. I have highlighted hair which lacks shine, and after using this saw absolutely no difference. I found that a cheap superdrug coconut shine spray worked better, smelled gorgeous and was less than half the price.
Umberto Giannini Glossing Mist.......
I do love my Umberto Giannini products and this one is no different. Since wearing my hair straight, I like it to have a high shine and silky look so when browsing the isles of Boots I couldn't help but notice this product which sounded great.
The Umberto Giannini Glossing Mist is a large can of 200 ml and it's normal retail selling price is £4.69 pence from Boots, however it can often be found on some sort of special offer and generally can be purchased cheaper.
The can of the glossing mist is a nice golden colour body and the lid is a shiny sliver. The design is overall rather nice although nothing overly fancy or special. It states on the can that the glossing mist contains the ingredient Gold pleasure oil which to me sounds like something you would find at Ann Summers rather than in a product for hair. Anyhow they say that this ingredient is meant to moisturise the hair and eliminate any signs of frizz, thus laving your hair light and glossy looking.
The general use of the product is pretty simple. Once your hair has been washed, dried and straightened and finished off really you then shake the can and hold it around 6 inches away from the hair and spray a light mist in to the air so it can fall onto your head. Very simple ad indeed very affective.
The smell of the product is really quite nice and similar to a few of the other Umberto Giannini product I have tried. It smells light and flowery and I do like it. The results you get with the product are actually better than I would have thought. My hair does appear glossier and of far better condition than when I have used nothing like this. I do also have the Toni and Guy finishing mist which although smells really nice, doesn't give as good as results as I find I get with this product.
The product doesn't feel heavy in my hair and I have never had the problem of it affecting my hair in any way other than making it look better. The Glossing Mist does wear off throughout the day and reapplication is necessary to keep that high shine look but other than that I feel this is a really good product and well worth the money.
A can has lasted a really good time and even though I have had it a good while now I still have around a third of the can left to use.
Overall I think a score of 5 out of 5 stars and a high recommendation.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
