As I have long hair it is a pain to have to wash it very morning but as my hair is also fine and prone to getting greasy quickly I normally have to. I have tried dry shampoos before and while some work wonders, other leave my hair feeling even more dirty and knotted. When I was last looking to replace my dry shampoo I went on the hunt for a new brand - I'm always looking for new brands or trying different things until I find what I think is perfection. So when I saw the Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Morning After Shampoo on 3 for 2 at my local Boots I decided to try it Full price the Umberti Giannini would set you back £5.61 for one can, which I reasonable as the size of the can is that of some regular hairspray bottles. But on offer it's even more value for money! The dry shampoo is in an aerosol spray that when sprayed onto your hair is supposed to "revives and refreshes lank, lifeless hair and gives that second day feeling that keeps hair perky and poised all day". The can is black matt with an image of a women on the front. It has a silver lid which covers the aerosol applicator. The directions of use are nice and easy and you are instructed to hold the can and spray you hair 6" away from the roots and work through your hair with your fingers. The spray comes out more like a hairspray in my opinion, not like the white talc some dry shampoo's look like. This is great as you don't therefore; get that white powder all over you. The Glam Hair also claims to not only refresh hair but also create a whole new look by creating a tousled volume look. It really does volumise your hair and does freshen up your hair and absorbs some grease. The spray also smells great, and makes you hair smell just washed! The only issue I do have is that my hair feels knotted when it's applied and if my hair is very greasy it only partly covers this up. But for hair that needs refreshing and reviving this dry shampoo is the best I have tried so far!
This was brought for me in a selection of Umberto Gianni products, and initially I thought 'Oh dry hair shampoo, I'l add it to my others. (First of all let me just let you know that I get through an awful lot of dry hair shampoo bottles each month, ranging from batiste to own brands e.g. boots and superdrug, tresemme etc) and this was the first time I had been given this particular one. So.. *The product* The first thing that struck me about this glorious bottle was the style and look of it. It comes it in professional looking black bottle, with a silver top. Underneath this silver top (which is capsule looking) is another top protecting the nozzle, which is clear and quite small. This tinier top is quite flexible and good quality but easy to get lost because it isn't very big. To be honest it looks good and is a nice touch, but it isn't really needed! On the front is a image of a woman with some BIG hair! But it looks good and a nice touch, and this is drawn in black and white. Above this is the description of the product, which is in a white/grey writing and again looks professional (not cheap!). There are a few things about this product that I love and also think put it above the others that I have used - Yes I do think this one is the best definitely! Firstly, the smell of the spray is really nice, it smells like you've just washed your hair! I often get people asking me what I've washed it with, when I have just in fact sprayed this. It smells 'fresh' if that's a smell?! I can't really explain it, just refreshing and lovely! Secondly, the spray itself is quite light and unlike the others dispenses in hair really easily. It doesn't leave any large white patches like the others seem to do. It creates a lovely feeling and texture of the hair, and lasts for hours! I can spray it in the morning and it lasts throughout the day, or if I spray it at night, it lasts at night as well as throughout the morning. So it's not a 1 hour jobby, lasts a long time. I have quite greasy hair (I also have a fringe) and its perfect to keep it lightweight and feeling fresh. As the smell isn't off putting I use it frequently and am a raving fan! It works great for hair that is feeling lanky and lifeless too, really improving on how it looks and in turn how you feel. *The Cost* As you can imagine, this particular brand is one of some expense and unlike the other brands (which can be between £2-3, this is more £5-6. However, it is completely worth it in my opinion and is worthy of that price tag. Often boots have 3 for 2 promotions on, so if you get through dry hair shampoo like I do you could stock up on 3 bottles, or treat yourself to 2 other products instead. Boots also have the advantage of points (and in fact Superdrug do to) so no excuses. This is for 200ml too, so used quite regularly would last a couple of months or more. As the title of the product suggest 'morning after dry shampoo' it is best to use it on the day where you could wash it, but trust me you can get away with using this (often the day after washing!!) so it really does save time. I would recommend this product definitely, smells great, looks so professional and overall gives exactly what you want - clean hair without the time to wash. It also makes hair really easy to style too, causing no disruption. A fabulous accessory for the mornings, afternoons and evenings to freshen up and I hope they bring a small one out for my handbag. An outstanding product.
