I bought this product on a whim because, as one of the earlier reviewers said, I had a voucher for it at Boots. I think the products normally costs about £4.99, and for that you get a 150ml bottle.
I really love the scent, it smells really fresh and clean and I love it when the smell wafts around me as I'm going to bed!
The application process is rather strange- there are basically no instructions on the products itself. It's a rather rich, thick, white cream, and so I tend to squeeze out about a teaspoon full (if that) onto my hand for my shoulder-length hair. I then massage it into my hair starting at the roots and working down, in the same way as I apply conditioner in the shower. I then try and make sure the balm is distributed evenly by brushing my hair in a zig-zag motion down its length.
The balm does feel a bit greasy on your hands, so you probably will need to wash them after applying it, but it's quite pleasant to touch.
When I wake up the next morning after applying the balm I generally get straight in the shower, where it washes out really easily and leaves my hair feel noticeably softer and smoother. I think it makes my hair look shinier for the next day as well.
I've found the bottle lasts quite a long time as well, because a little of the balm tends to go a long way. I've had mine for about four months now and tend to remember to apply it about four times a week, and there's still loads left!

Summary: Considering how cheap it is, I think it does a great job.
