I've been to this school 3 times and each time I promised myself to not return and always I get fooled by reading some good reviews online on this forum and I feel like maybe its just me who has this horrible experience each time. Those novices combing your hair a zillion tiimes to get one section right is horrifying while you are sitting there with a sore bum for 4 hours. I am begining to doubt most reviews now. I just want to put in my two cent finally, its worth it to spend 20 pounds at a proper salon rather than 12 pounds at the sassoon trainee school. I'd rather get a haircut once in 2 months, than every month but go to a proper salon from now on.
Wish you all best!

Just wanted to say that i trained in the vidal sassoon school of hairdressing, and to say that having something radical 'isn't worth the risk' is ridiculous, there are teachers there every step of the way and you are only given what you can handle, so the students who have been there for longer will get the more difficult haircuts and the ones who ... I have been visiting the Vidal Sassoon Hair School in Davies Mews for about 5 years. For most visits, I have been pleased with my haircut but occasionally it has gone very wrong as it did yesterday. My hair was cut badly, the technician asked the student to correct the cut and it ended up being so short that it is uncomfortable to sleep on. Be warned, do not be afraid to speak up. It may only be £12 for a cut but you have to live with the result until it grows AND, although you are made to feel you have given up the right , IT IS STILL YOUR HAIR!!

My sister and I both needed our hair sorting out and with little money to spend decided we would make perfect models. We chose Vidal sassoon because of their reputation and we knew they would use decent products. After booking our appointment we went along to the school, which is just off of Bond Street. You go in and it is really small, pay your ... Read the complete review

I went to Davies Mews yesterday (10/04/08) and everyone - including the Australian hairdressing student who washed and cut my hair to the instructor - was pleasant. I came out with a good hair cut at a bargain price. No complaints! And neither should anyone else dare to complain, or make a big song and dance about the experience.

I first noticed the School when reading the Metro one day after work, they do promotional offers all the time (although I haven't seen many around recently) for £4.50 haircuts or even, if your lucky, free ones! I grabbed as many Metros as I could find and pinched all the coupons. I tried calling, then realized I was on the Tube. I ... Read the complete review

As this was my first experience at a hairdressing school ( I'd booked a tint) I was apprehensive to say the least and imagined coming out with a shade of hair that pleased the student but not me; however I was felt immediately reassured when I was allocated to a very nice 40 something lady called Helen. Helen asked me what sort of tint I ... Read the complete review

When I enrolled to do a hairdressing course, I was terrified as I had to cut, perm, and colour peoples hair. I knew this was involved at the time I enrolled but I didn?t realise that theses people were actually paying customers. I wasn?t even on the course a week when I was let loose on my very first client. I was ... Read the complete review

Long hair, short hair, curly hair, straight hair. Blonde, chestnut, auburn, black. I love hair. I love it when it's freshly washed and it lightly bounces around your shoulders as you walk down the street. I love the way the sun makes it gleam and shine, the way ringlets cascade down backs, and glossy locks swish from side to ... Read the complete review
