I love the original Vosene shampoo and that is the reason why I decided to try the newer version for a sensitive scalp, just to see how it compares really. I wasn’t disappointed. I do have a bit of a flaky scalp from time to time and it gets itchy and can bleed so I have to e fairly careful about what I use in case it makes the condition any worse.
Vosene have designed this new shampoo for those of us with a sensitive scalp and this works a treat. I love the funky shape of the bottle and it sits on its end so it means that all the contents run to the bottom and hardly any at all goes to waste.
I had expected this shampoo to have the same medicated smell as the original Vosene shampoo, but it doesn’t. I was a little bit disappointed, if I am honest, as I really do love that fresh strong medicated smell, which reminds me so much of my childhood. This shampoo is medicated but the fragrance is so much milder and is a more watered down version of the original, I think.
It alters up really very well and I don’t have to use very much of it to get a great lather. It rinses off well and leaves my hair feeling healthy and shiny and in really good condition. I also use the conditioner in this range and when I use them both together at the same time, that is when I get the best results I find.
It is only £3 for a bottle containing 250ml and it lasts me for ages and it does not aggravate or irritate my scalp at all.
Good stuff and I highly recommend it.
I like to have at least one anti dandruff shampoo on the go in my bathroom cabinet, not because I currently have dandruff, but if I didn't use some sort of anti dandruff shampoo, it could easily build up. I have used Vosene anti dandruff shampoo in the past, but it was the original medicated version, with the awful smell. Vosene have updated their packaging and it is now much more attractive to look at. In fact, it fits in much better with other shampoos on the supermarket shelf.
This vosene antidandruff shampoo is for frequent use and for those with a sensitive scalp, which I think I would fall under. It is also suitable for any hair type and is suitable for daily use according to the front of the bottle. For the 250ml bottle that I bought at the time in TEsco, I think I paid around £2, although sometimes you can pick up Vosene in the likes of Poundland.
When I bought this shampoo I wasn't quite sure whether it would have the horrible, clinical smell that the original medicated version had, but even with the original, I still thought it did a good job at keeping my hair dandruff free and keeping it in good condition. I was so glad that when I started using this shampoo, there wasn't any smell with it. The white shampoo is quite runny and since the lid of the bottle sits at the bottom, it can come out quite quickly when you open it.
I find that this shampoo lathers up well and it also washes out easily. I can run a brush through my wet hair after washing without any tangles and I always think that is a good sign of a shampoo. When my hair is dry, it looks shiny and in good condition. No, it doesn't give that much needed volume for my fine, limp hair, but then again when it doesn't claim to, I can't really expect that as well. In saying that, I wouldn't say that it leaves my hair looking limp either. Instead, my hair looks healthy, clean and most importantly dandruff free.
I would certainly purchase this shampoo again. I love that I can buy it now without the awful smell, and it is a good price for an anti dandruff shampoo. The new packaging makes the product much more appealing to look at and quite simply it works.
