"Take two bottles in the shower....?" Ugh! to this day whenever I see this product in supermarkets or in my bathroom Im transported back to the cheesey television advert that accompanied its launch back in the 80's. It featured a nubile gym-bunny who took great delight in telling us that she was above such faffing when it came to looking after her hair and that she only needed to slap this stuff on and not only would it clean her hair but also condition it too.

Jingles and advertisment slogans seem to inbed themselves in my head and fair-do's to Procter & Gamble the manufacturers of this shampoo/conditioner their advertising did what they intended it to do. However it didnt in my case because for years and years I resisted buying this product because it annoyed me so much (Similar to "I cant believe its not butter - see my other review) and anyway being a bloke I didnt really care about conditioning my hair, so long as its clean im happy.

Recently though, Mrs R picked up a bottle of this stuff, and with it being the only shampoo we had in our bathroom I gave it a try, the bottle is a deeper green than that shown in DooYoos pic but the label is the same. You are informed on the sticker that it is a Universal shampoo & conditioner and is suitable for normal hair.

Prejudice aside I have to say the product did actually make my hair feel clean and soft, Mrs R loves this stuff now and is definitely converted and this will be continued to be used in our household. The shampoo/conditioner has a thick gloopy consistency and is aqua blue in colour, it is lightly fragrenced and smells "clean". Usage isntructions really couldnt be easier, apply to wet hair, massage in and wash out and that it, you really can just "Wash and Go!" (ugh! again)

I cant fault the product at all, it does what it says it will do and is competitively priced at round about £1.70 per bottle, ours cost only £1.00 from Asda not so long ago so may be on permanent offer with them?

A begrudging 5/5 from me, I just wish I could get the slogan out of my head!

Summary: I really shouldnt be so judgemental when it comes to TV advertising!
