Advantages: Leaves hair clean, soft and shiny

Disadvantages: None

A like to keep a variety of shampoos in the shower to use to wash my hair, taking it in turn using a different one each day. I usually also have alongside regular shampoos, an anti dandruff shampoo, not because I have dandruff, but it is a preventative measure.

Although I usually purchase either Head and Shoulders or L'Oreal anti dandruff, Tesco were running an offer for Wash and Go anti dandruff 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner for just £1 for a 300ml bottle, and since I had never tried it before, I thought I would give it a go.

This shampoo and conditioner comes in a bright green bottle with a blue lid (a more modern version of the shampoo pictured above). As I said, this is an anti dandruff 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner and this is clear to be read across the top of the shampoo.

On the reverse of the bottle, it states that this wash and go shampoo 'effectively fights dandruff and helps prevent it coming back with regular use'.

I have been using this now for a couple of weeks, and have been pleased with its performance so far. The shampoo and conditioner come out of the bottle as a duck egg colour, but it lathers up really well and very quickly, without you having to use too much of it.

I tend to use hair spray on my hair most days to keep its style, but at the cost to my hair in that it makes the texture drier, even though I tend to have naturally greasy hair. After washing my hair, I was able to run the brush through it without any bother, which I always think is a good sign, and when I had dried it, I thought it was soft and shiny.

I know that it does not claim to make hair shiny or soft, and rather is only promoted as an anti dandruff 2 in 1, but I am definitely more likely to buy it if I thought that it was going to help the condition of my hair as well, which I felt it did.

There is little scent to the shampoo, but then again, I wasn't look for it to have this. I am quite content to use other shampoos such as timoteii to give my hair that nice scent.

As I said, I don't suffer from dandruff thankfully, although I have sometimes had a flaky scalp at the front of the head, but nonetheless, I like to keep an anti dandruff shampoo in the shower at all times, to keep any prospective dandruff from forming, and I would be quite happy to recommend this, especially at the price of £1. I do like head and shoulders, but I have so far found that this has done the job just as good as other anti dandruff shampoos, with the added benefit that my hair feels soft and shiny.

Summary: A great anti dandruff shampoo
