Advantages: Nice smell, good texture, good make
Disadvantages: Too much danger of losing shampoo
Shampoo damaging your shopping! You just wouldn't expect that bottle of shampoo you have just bought to ruin £££££'s worth of your newly bought shopping would you? Well it has damaged mine, 'twice'! I thought I should warn anyone buying this make/type of shampoo to be careful. Keep an eye on the bottle when you or the helper at the check-out is packing it. 'Wella Hair Experience Liquid Hair' is the product concerned (it is in a flat looking speckled magnolia coloured bottle, with either a blue or pink cap ). Basically the lid isn't a screw cap but a flip one. Now this may be easy to open from the designers point of view, but that is where the problem lies! There is no inner sealant, so if you do not pack the bottle in your shopping bag very carefully the cap is easily caught on the ridge of a can etc and 'urgh!' you have shampoo all over your shopping. This has happened to me twice. The first time I obviousley didn't know of the problem, the second time the check out girl packed my bags and I forgot (oops!). Costly mistake as I had some perishables in the same bag on both occasions which had to be thrown away, plus I only ended up with half a bottle of shampoo! Although I do like the texture, smell and effects the shampoo has on my hair, I just won't buy it now, because of the danger of the same thing happening again. I have e-mailed Wella and am awaiting a reply, we'll see.......

- 18/11/00 Your warning came just a little late for me, when I opened my case when I arrived on my hols conditioner was everywhere, made the case smell good though! |

- 07/11/00 My fiancee had the same problem with a conditioner, although I can't remember who made it.
A lot of times at the supermarket they will put shampoo (or similar products) inside another, small bag, just as a further insurance against this sort of incident. |
