      Advantages

      Disadvantages

This product didn't work for me. A waste of money

I purchased this serum after coming back from a hot holiday. The chlorine in the pool and the heat from the sun had taken it's toll on my hair.  I use the hair drier and straighteners every day and my poor hair was feeling limp, unconditioned and dry.  *Price and availability*  I paid £7.99 from Boots for a 75ml bottle. It is widely available online and priced between £7.20 and £10.45. *Description* The bottle comes in a 75ml size. It is a silver canister where the product is stored and then a black squeezable area that leads to the nozzle. The nozzle is protected by a see through plastic lid.  *The product* The serum is thick and gel like in consistency. It contains pro vitamin B5 and U.V filters to protect and nourish the hair. *Directions* Use sparingly and squeeze a pea sized amount out on to the fingers and work through damp hair to protect it before blow drying. Alternatively you can use the serum on dry hair to help style the hair and tame it. *My opinion* The bottle is designed to look contemporary, but the design Is flawed because it is really hard to get the serum out! The directions state to use the bottle sparingly but it is rather impossible to get much more out.  Once you have managed to squeeze some serum out it does smell rather pleasant and it is fairly easy to distribute through the hair. I rubbed it in and then comb it through to ensure it was evenly spread.  On my first trial usage I used it before blow drying. It seemed to take a lot longer to dry my hair and I wondered why it still appeared wet. It was then I realised the serum has coated my freshly washed hair in a layer of grease and it wasn't wet at all! My hair was limp and greasy and let separating in clumps. I was very disappointed, I didn't have time to wash my hair again so had to put up with it feeling and looking like this throughout the day.  I tried the serum again and used a very small amount on the hair and avoided the roots, thinking I must have used too much last time. However I still wasn't satisfied with the product. My hair didn't look shiny or well conditioned, instead it seemed heavier and lank.  I wouldn't recommend this product. It doesn't do what it advertises on the tin, its supposed to help create volume! It certainly doesn't create volume or help to improve the quality of my hair!
