Advantages: Straight, Controlled Hair, Affordable, Smells Nice
Disadvantages: None
After years of hairdye, blowdrying and straightening my hair needs that little more care to prevent that dreaded Wurzel Gummidge look.
My hair is very fine and flyaway but there is lots of it giving the impression of thick hair. This in itself is a big problem. My sister (manageress of a salon supplier) recommended that I try this product. At £7 for 100ml I was just hoping it worked.
The packaging is very simple showing the Wella logo, the High Hair range logo and the name of the product. It claims to 'tame and straighten hair from roots to end even when exposed to high humidity.' It also states that it contains pro-vitamin B5 to help strengthen and protect hair.
After washing, towel drying and then combing my hair, I used two pumps of the serumand using my fingers rubbed it through my hair, concentrating on the ends. The instructions do say to apply in sections and combing through then drying each section in turn but I don't have the time or patience for that I'm afraid.
Once fully dry, my hair felt really soft and still felt clean. I normally associate these sort of creams with a heavy stickiness so this was a welcome difference. Normally after blowdrying I have to run the straighteners through my hair as a finishing touch as it still has a slight wave to it, but after using this cream there was no need. There was no need to use straighteners on my hair for another three days, until the next time I washed my hair.
Each morning I got up out of bed, brushed my hair and gave it no more thought because it really did look like I'd spent a good 20 minutes straightening it. My hair is healthier because I'm not subjecting it to the straighteners every day.
I highlighly recommend this product, especially for those with fine hair that is easily damaged by heated styling such as straightening.
Summary: The perfect product for controlling your hair!
