Wella Shockwaves Got Matt Clay is one of the few hair styling prodcuts that will hold short-medium, very thick, mens hair! Having very thick hair and keeping my hair length between short and medium length means you need a product that is going to have some good holding properties but it doesn't stop there. You want something that is going to leave a matt finish (well I do!) and not leave a bad or chemical kind of smell.

Go Matt Clay lives up to this criteria and actually is quite a good product. It is applied to hair relatively easily, holds a messed up style quite well and definitely doesn't have a bad smell. It's a strange looking, grey product but on your hair it leaves a nice matt finish. Whilst this is called "clay", it definitely looks like, works like and holds more like a gel. It will not bunch all your hair strangs together like gel but rather somewhere in between a wax and a gel.

The tub is quite small and will not last too long, especially for people with longer hair styles. I would have given this product 5 stars but there's a better one out there: VO5 Texturising Gum.

Summary: A good hair product, you should at least try it!
