Wella Silvikrin 24 Hour Firm Hold Hairspray

This was a 'panic buy' before a weekend away more than a year ago. I had forgotten to pack my usual hairspray and mainly as a 'security blanket' I needed a spray. Popping in to the nearest local Spar of all places this was the only one available so no pressing decisions to be made! I use hairspray quite a lot - I even spritz it over my hair when it's down to keep it in place, otherwise it sort of puffs up and takes on a mind of it's own! I usually use John Frieda's brilliant brunette hairspray which is by far the best I have ever used, and also regularly carry mini Toni and Guy hairspray in my handbag, just in case of hair emergencies! Silvikrin hairspray was voted the best value hairspray in the 2008 Prima magazine beauty awards and to add to that it was used by the hairdressing team of the big stage musical `Hairspray`. Silvikrin is produced by Wella who have have always been a leading name in hair products and they have quite an extensive range too, a Shiny Hold Spray, a Hydrostyle Spray, a Sensitive Spray and a Curls and waves spray. I bought a can of Silvikrin Firm Hold Hairspray for occasional use. I don't really use hairspray on a regular/daily basis, however I do a lot of stage work and so needed to invest in some. For stage purposes, this worked absolutely brilliantly - I don't know if it was due to the amount I sprayed on but it was really sticky at first and then when it dried it set my hair very definitely in the place I'd put it in. Well - this is one serious hairspray and certainly not for those who like to do things by halves! I first brought this product last year after standing in Superdrug walking up and down reading the backs of nearly every can of hairspray being indecisive!
