I have very fine hair which I can style in the morning and by lunchtime it looks as if I've been dragged through a hedge backwards, so I was really pleased to find a hairspray that works.

Silvikrin hairspray comes in 4 strengths, including this, the maximum hold one. They very helpfully put a little chart on the front of the can with the number corresponding to the strength highlighted. The spray comes in various can sizes as well, including a nifty little handbag size. I bought the 250 ml version.

I found that with this spray, unlike a lot of firm hold ones, you don't need to use a lot and it doesn't have a strong smell. My hair feels fairly natural - you can tell I've got hairspray on if you touch it, but you can't see it - it doesn't make your hair look rigid.

I went out last week on a very windy day, having used this hairspray, and at the end of the day my style had held really well - my hair looked natural and not too windblown.

The spray brushes out very easily; there is very little residue. I am growing my cropped style out and it's at that awful in-between stage, so I use Silvikrin every day now. Even with this usage, a can lasts several weeks.

I would thoroughly recommend it - I've tried several makes and I find this one by far the best.

Summary: Well worth a try.
