I picked this Wella Shockwaves power hold hairspray up from a local discount store a few weeks ago. This can is 250ml and it cost just £1 which is a great price for a branded product. I will always choose a firm hold hairspray as I find that anything less just won’t hold my hair as it is quite thick and strong and although I hadn’t had this particular one before I have used numerous other Wella products and always found them to be very good.
To use I will style my hair and then spray the can about eight to ten inches away and then spray it in short bursts until I am happy that the areas I need to fix are covered. As I wear glasses if I leave them on when I apply the spray I will shield the lenses with my hands as with all sprays it can leave a residue on your glasses when it dries.
I find that this spray dries quite quickly but you do get a few seconds to mould or smooth any parts you might need to whilst it is still moist A good thing about this spray is that although it is a secure spray it doesn’t feel sticky or tacky when it dries and it looks completely natural. I find that it also brushes out easily at the end of the day and I can do this for a few days before it needs washing unlike some other sprays which you just can’t get your brush through. It also just seems to just evaporate when you brush it out and you don’t get any flakes or bits flying around.
I really like this secure hold hairspray and would definitely buy it again especially if I can get it at the same price. The fine spray dries quickly and does a great job of keeping my hair in place but it still has movement and looks quite natural. It brushes out easily and doesn’t leave any residue or flakes in my hair and it comes recommended by me.
I thought I would do a review of this product as I have used it for quiet a while and find it a brilliant product. I personally use a lot of hairspray, as my hair never seems to stay in the style that I want it to. I have tried many different hairsprays and many I would not use again. The type of hairspray I look for and use most regularly are the type that has a really strong hold, but is not noticeable on the hair.
I first bought this product myself a couple of months ago in Superdrug when it was on offer for a think £2.50. Previously my mother had always purchased this hairspray, which I used on her regularly! I went for the 400 ml tin, which is quite a good size of hairspray and the Strong hold type of this hairspray. It was this which attracted me to this tin, as I was looking for great strong hairspray.
"Gives reliable, long-lasting, strong hold and keeps your style flexible."
I found that this hairspray does everything that it claims to. It really does give your hair a strong hold, but at the same time it doesn't make your hair sticky. With this hairspray I found that I didn't need to use a lot of this because the product has such a strong hold quality.
The tin is green in colour with 'wella' symbol on the top of the tin. I found that this size of tin lasted me a good amount of time, even though I do use a lot! Although if you are looking for a hairspray to carry around with you, this is not it. But this size of tin was brilliant for me, as it lasted me a good amount of time.
You can purchase this hairspray from Superdrug for £3.00 at the minute. I think that this price is reasonable because of the quality of the hairspray you are buying. There are of course much more cheaper alternatives, but this is in my opinion is a great product. This is most certainly one product that I would recommend and use again!
