Remover didn't work! (Wella Viva Colour)

Having always had blonde hair and always wanted to try red, but frankly never having the balls to take the plunge, when Wella launched 'Viva' - colour on/off system I thought 'Wayhey, lets go for it at last, at least if you look a prat the colour will come off!'

Yeah right!

For a start the lovely tomato red (sorry can't remember name of actual shade) on the box and in the tube came out bright, and I mean BRIGHT orange!

We had a bit of a girlie morning dying hair and gossiping while the kids were at school and all my pals were quite diplomatic! Comments varied from 'Well you certainly look different', to 'It's bright, isn't it?' to 'I really like it!' (think she was on drugs that day, either that or colour blind!).

Truth availed when I picked my 5 year old son up from school and he said 'Mummy why's your hair orange?', and my other half got home from work and said 'What have you done?'.

I managed to put up with it for one and a half days, thinking that maybe I'd get used to it, but finally decided to face facts...it was hideous!

Thank the lord for the 'remover'. I followed precisely the instructions on the box and went back to blonde, albeit a slightly warmer shade than before. Great.

Then day by day the orange colour seeped back through...not so great...I eventually had highlights put on top of the orange to go back blonde.

Never again!
