Advantages: smells nice, does the job
Disadvantages: price
Ok, So I am a 25 year old male and should not be doing write ups on hair care products. But what the hell. I was doing a bit of shopping at my local Morrisons when I came upon one of their many Buy one get one free special offers. This time it was the Wella Vivality repair and care range. Usually I wouldn't buy Wella products for my hair because, although they are a top brand name, they always seem to be a tad on the expensive side. This particular shampoo being around £2.60 per attractive yellow 200ml bottle. But seeing as I could buy the shampoo and get the conditioner for nothing, how could I lose? The type I chose was for dry and damaged hair. The bottle claims to have a restructuring protein formula that penetrates and strengthens the damaged structure of your hair. Giving you the Vivality feeling (hence the name) with beautiful hair that is full of life. So long as it cleans my bonce and leaves my hair manageable, then that is all I care about. Anyway, that night I decided to try out my new purchase while enjoying a nice long soak in the bath. My Tracy Chapman cd up full volume to add to my relaxation therapy. After soaking my hair through, I poured out a handful of my new shampoo. The liquid has a white marble effect and smells quite nice. I massaged it into my follicles until my crown was fully covered in a thick creamy lather. The lather is so thick that, if your a well known cheapskate (just like me) then you can double up washing your hair and using the lather to wash the rest of your body. Saving on your valuable soap (considering how expensive it seems to have got). Handy hint: Don't let the lather get in your eyes as it is not iris friendly. After rinsing, my hair squeaked like a fieldmouse in heat, hence it was exceptionally clean. A very nice feeling to have I might add. After my wash, it was time to use my conditioner. I gently massaged it int
o my wet hair and left it for two minutes as per the instructions, after which, I rinsed. As with the shampoo, the conditioner smelt very pleasant and looked like liquid marble. Later, when my hair had dried I could literally feel the difference, my head didn't feel as heavy and my hair felt really clean and was very manageable. The conditioner had left my manky brown locks in a state of vibrance, very soft and exceptionally shiny. I am quite impressed with my new hair care product and as long as it stays on special offer, I will continue to buy it. Without being too technical the product contains, Aqua (not the cheesy band), Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium chloride and a host of other unpronounceable ingredients. Overall, you can do a lot worse as far as shampoos and conditioners are concerned. The bottles are quite attractive and it tends to do everything in it's job description.
