Advantages: Brilliant for girls with thick and unmanagable hair
Disadvantages: Not so good with those of you with short hair
Let be honest there are a lot of girls out there who love to straighten their hair, but for those of us with thicker and more lets say uncontrollable hair the thinner straighteners just dont do it! If you are one of these girls then Remington's Wet2Straight Straighteners could be for you. I got given a pair of these last year after my old straighteners broke and I wouldnt be without them now!
The Best Bits: These straighteners have really wide plates which mean not only to they straighten your hair much quicker than thinner alternatives they can also cover a wider section of your hair which is good for girls with thick or long hair. Although they are wet2straight you can use them on dry hair to. I had always heard that wet2straight straigheners would dry out your hair so I was always a bit worried about using them but when my hair dryer went on the blink I decided to give them ago. My hair was so soft and for some reason drying it at the same time as straightening it made it straighter than it had ever been.
The straighteners come with a protective heat bag and so you can pack them away without having to worry about them burning or melting anything. The have a large varient in the heat setting running up to 200 degrees so you can choose your heat depending on your hair type and unlike other straighteners the plates are really smooth so your hair doesnt rip or catch on them at all. It says on the box they heat up in 60 seconds but if you have them on a lower heat this can be less.
The bad bits: Really there is nothing bad about the straighteners the only thing I will say is that you have to be careful when using them wet2straight because one of the features of the straighteners is holes on one side of one iron and when you use them on wet hair they let out the steam that comes of your hair. If you turn these the wrong was then the steam can be quite hot and could burn you. In saying this the instructions do come with a warning and so this shouldnt be a problem providing that you read them! I wouldnt reccomend these to people with shorted hair as they can be quite difficult to put on your hair as the size of them gets in the way.
These straighteners are brilliant if you have wide hair or thick hair they are surprisingly light for their size and the protective heat bag means that they can be packed away quite small and slip into your bag. They have a small read light which shines when they are on and a clear on off switch which means you never make the mistake of leaving them on. They have a little pad for your thumb so that they are easy to hold and use. They make your hair really soft because you can decide how hot or cool you want them and the plates are so smooth that they are really easy to clean.
These straightener's cost about £50 - £60 and come with a 3 year guarantee so should you have any problems you can easily replace them saying that I have had mine for some time and use them every day and have had no problems with them at all!
Summary: Easy to use straighteners with great heat varients
