I have very thick wavy uncontrollable hair and these do a good job of taming it with the added bonus if being a lot quicker than blow drying and then straightening. Whereas before It would take about 45 minutes to blow dry and then straighten, with these I can do it in under half an hour. It is a bit worrying at first because they spit ... I have thick, semi wavy/semi frizzy long hair and over the years I have tried various methods to straighten it. Back in the late 90's I got my first pair of Babyliss straightners and at the time I thought they were the business. Since then I have tried lots of straightners, all of which do a reasonable job until I go outside and then my lovely ... Read the complete review

When I was young, I longed for thick, wavy, long blonde hair. Sadly my hair has always been very fine and looks pretty awful once it gets past my shoulders, is poker straight and colourwise its mousy brown, so my dream was never to be. My daughter, however, has the most beautiful hair - naturally wavy, thick and a lovely shade of ... Read the complete review

These are honestly the best straignteners ever! I actually have the first model, the non digital ones. I have had them for about 2 and a half years now, and I love them. I went to the hairdressers a few years back, and she was amazed at how thick and frizzy my hair was. I had tried a few pairs of straighteners, but they didnt help. My ... Read the complete review

I bought these straightners a while ago and was not very impressed with them. The straightners go up to a rather high temperature which is good for thick hair that is hard to straighten. As far as using the straightners on wet hair I do not recommend. All straightnres do cause damage to your hair but the amount of damage these ... Read the complete review

I had a pair of these Remington Wet 2 Straight before I bought some GHD's and although I would not go back to them after using the GHD's I did really like them at the time and would recommend them. I have quite thick, curly hair and it has always been a problem to straighten. With other straighteners I found I would have to wait hours ... Read the complete review

Let be honest there are a lot of girls out there who love to straighten their hair, but for those of us with thicker and more lets say uncontrollable hair the thinner straighteners just dont do it! I saw the advert and thought finally! something I could use to banish 2 hours of drying and styling my hair! I received a pair as a gift, and wasn't as impressed with the results as I thought I would be. Because I have wavy and kinky hair, when i straighten it, the results don't last throughout the day. Although I do not think these are the ... Read the complete review

Firstly, a little bit of background, My hair has been compared to a bird's nest and a brillo pad so when I saw an advert for Remington Wet2Straight I was delighted because, with only one lot of heat, I could be kinder to my poor tired dry hair. Instead of Bleaching, Washing, Blow drying, and Straightening. I could go from washing to straightening. ... Read the complete review

After 11 years of wedded bliss, I finally gave up. My wife had been dropping not-so-subtle hints about getting a set of hair straighteners for quite some time, but I had been steadfastly resisting, knowing that they would just end up on the pile of oestrogen-fuelled impulse buys. This includes such 'essential equipment' as: the exercise bike ... Read the complete review

I have the kind of hair that for years seemed impossible to control. Tying it back in a bun was the only way to make it look vaguely manageable, particularly as my hair takes forever to dry - it can take the hairdresser up to an hour with a professional hairdryer, and it's only just past my shoulders. So when the first straighteners came on the ... Read the complete review
