ASDA 1300W DUAL VOLTAGE HAIRDRYER

Their are so many types of hairdryers these days, from travel compact ones to the proper full size industrial ones, and the prices differ too.

For me on the search for a lightweight hairdryer for my holidays, I searched on the internet and found an array of different ones, from Argos value to visiq, to sainsburys and tesco ones, but I never thought about looking on ASDA.

MY LIST FOR A GREAT HAIRDRYER

Has to be cheap

Has to have a long cord

Has to have two speeds

Has to have two heats

For optionals,

Could do with having a foolding handle (this one has one)

Could do with having dual voltage (this one has it too)

THE HAIRDRYER

Going to asda I spotted this hairdryer on the top shelf, cheapest of the lot that was there, so I picked one up and put one in to the trolley...

This asda hairdryer costs £3.97 (as already mentioned) and includes a concentrator, folding handle, dual voltage, 2 speeds and 2 heats (with one switch), a safety cut off and a DC motor (professional motor.)

MY EXPERIENCES

I brought this hairdryer as I needed a new one aswell as one for holidays, as my mum has had a boots hairdryer for about 8 years (yes, 8 years!) and she also has an Andrew Barton blown away which my dad brought my mum for christmas (she still even uses the Boots one!) I was contemplating buying a boots one but the prices were scandalous! About £8 for a travel one!

Anyway, I opened the box and pulled the hairdryer out, included inn the box you get...
AN ASDA HAIRDRYER
A CONCENTRATOR
INSTRUCTIONS

I un-folded the handle and snapped on the concentrator and read the instructions, this hairdryer has two heats and two speeds, (speed setting 1 is the delicate setting for styling and speed setting 2 is the setting for quick drying hair) This hairdryer also has a folding handle (for easy storage and great for travelling) and dual worldwide voltage (for use worldwide 230v-240v and 120v) and even a safety shut off plus a DC motor.

MY EXPERIENCES

I had a shower and washed my hair with VO5 give me moisture shampoo (review to come lol!) I tried this hairdryer out...
Firstly I un ravelled the cord and plugged it in (the cord is quite long on the this one, gladly), then, I took the concentrator off (didn't need it) and switched it on to the first setting (the delicate one) and it was a bit low, but I switched it on to the second setting (the full power annd full heat one) and it dryed my hair in no time at all and I thought WOW! Can a hairdryer this cheap be that powerful! So when I was finished in next to no time, I unplugged the hairdryer and left it on my desk to cool off.

JUST SOME DOWNSIDES

Just a few downsides for this hairdryer, firstly their is no easy clean filter like some others and this is why a handheld vacuum cleaner is handy! Another downside is the concentrator gets VERY hot during use, which means you can remove the concentrator is you dont need it until it has cooled down, which is a pain in the back side!! The last downside is that it looks a bit cheap but for the price I can't really complain!

SUMMARY

Despite all this I still recommend this hairdryer because of the price and features as the folding handle, dual voltage and two heats and two speeds. Oh also too, my mums Boots hairdryer diffuser actually fits on to the end of this hairdryer so it is great for our holidays.

I rate it 4 stars

Thanks for reading my review!

UPDATE:

Sorry to say but this hairdryer was faulty and I had to take it back. It was brill whilst it lasted and it was probably the best travel hairdryer I had EVER used. Oh well, see my review on Argos one, that is only for travel as new hairdryer coming soon!

P.S. no review on argos on dooyoo yet!

Summary: A great hairdryer whilst it lasted
