Advantages: Dries the hair quickly and leaves it looking sleek and less frizzy
Disadvantages: The cable could be longer
My hair dryer recently packed in after many years of loyal service and so I went in search of a new one. I didn't want to spend too much money as I think hair dryer are more or less the same and I don't think they are something to splash out on. I had a John Lewis voucher anyway so I carried out my search there. I chose the Elegance 2100 by Babyliss.
What does the product do?
The product has obviously been created to dry the hair first and foremost. Its additional features are an advanced fan technology to enable your hair to be dried in super fast time. It also has high shine ionic conditioning to leave your hair silky and shiny, and to ensure your hair is frizz free. It has a heat balancing ceramic technology which helps to protect your hair from heat damage and a salon concentrated nozzle. It has three heat settings to allow you to choose a suitable temperature for your hair and also a cool button to set your style. It also has two speed setting so again you can set the product to best suit your needs.
Appearance
The product is a beautiful pale and metallic pink shade. It has an almost shimmering finish and if I'm honest, the beautiful colour is one of the main reasons that I chose this hair dryer over the others. The dryer looks expensive and classy. The design is streamline and although the hair dryer is very big in size, it is actually still light and doesn't look too chunky. The nozzle is a deeper purple/pink and this can be removed if needed. The switches are the side are black and the whole hair dryer looks really nice.
Price
The product was one of the cheapest in John Lewis and I paid £18 for mine so I thought that was quite good. You can buy the product from department stores such as Boots, shops like Boots and also from a variety of online websites.
Using the product
The product is really light so you can hold it for a long time without your arm getting tired and it also makes it lighter for packing and taking it away on holidays. The hair dryer is quite noisy to use but this isn't a major problem. The setting are easy to use as you hold the dryer and you can change them quickly. The cold blast button is also comfortable to hold while using the dryer. The dryer blasts the hair well and it does dry the hair quickly. It is certainly much quicker than my old dryer was.
The nozzle directs the hair very specifically and it does actually manage to reduce the frizziness in my hair a bit which is nothing short of a miracle. Because it reduces the frizz, it also increases the shine of my hair to which again is a lovely bonus. The product's cable is long but may not be long enough for some if you haven't got a plug socket near a mirror. My hair still seems in a good condition after I've used it so it could be protecting my hair as promised.
