Advantages: Easy to grip and hold, good heat setttings, precision attachment works well

Disadvantages: None from me

There have been quite a number of hairdryers that I have got through. I have no idea what I seem to do to them but I just keep blowing them up. I need quite a powerful hairdryer as I have long hair that is really thick. I have spent money on quite expensive models in the past but as I seem to be getting through them quite quickly I have decided to look for a cheaper option and have been using it for a couple of months now. The model that I ended up buying was the Babyliss Ultra Shine Lightweight Hairdryer and here are my thoughts on the product.

I purchased the hairdryer from my local Argos store. It cost me £29.99 and this tends to be the price you will pay no matter on where you get it from. It is available from Amazon at this price and I would normally look at getting it from the website but I needed a quick fix and Argos was the easiest place to go. The hairdryer I think is not a bad price when I look at the cost of some of the models that you can get. I have even paid over £70.00 for myself so I was hoping the cheaper model might fair better than my expensive one!

The hairdryer came well packaged and I was pleased that it came with a 3 year guarantee. This seemed quite generous but I was happy to have it and soon registered it online. The hairdryer is a sleek looking product, all shiny and black. There is the Babyliss logo on the side in white writing and there is the detachable nozzle that allows you to have control on the hair.

The hairdryer is a 2000w product so pretty powerful. I certainly knew that it sounded powerful when I switched it on for the first time! I would not say that it is really loud but it made the cat jump (!) and it was a lot louder than my other hairdryers. We are told that it is a hairdryer that is for a salon quality but at home and it is a lightweight design o it is easy to handle. I purposely decided to buy the lightweight one as I have the thick and long hair so I am holding the hairdryer for quite some time and after a while it does start to hurt your arm, with this hairdryer I found that it was very light to hold. There was a mould on the handle so my hand gripped it with ease and there was no aching after using it.

The hairdryer has 2 heat settings and 2 speed settings. I start off by blasting my hair and the hairdryer did this really well, my wet hair was soon just damp as opposed to dripping so I could see that this was efficient really quickly. The hairdryer was also warm really quickly so the heat was getting to grips on my hair and drying it at speed.

There is also a cool setting on the hairdryer which I found really good, I was generally really pleased with the performance of this hairdryer. This is certainly one that I would recommend and it gets a 5 out of 5 from me

Thank you for reading
