I purchased this hair dryer firstly because I was out shopping for gifts for others and fancied treating myself and secondly because I was due to go on holiday and thought it would be less weight in my case to take a travel hair dryer with me as my friends describe my regular hair dryer as 'the heaviest hair dryer in the world' lol personally I don't think its that bad but anyway my mom has issues with weight in suitcases and she was coming with us so I thought I better be careful and minimalistic for once.

The hair dryer itself is sturdy and about a third of the size of my normal hair dryer it is not a travel dryer which the handle folds in on it remains in its normal position at all times. The design of the hair dryer is like leopard print only the background is purple as you can see from the picture. It has to speed settings and the underneath has a print on which tells me it is a 'Mini Dryer 1000 Power 1200W 120V/230V and Made in China' Now these things mean nothing to me but what I will say is I was pleasantly surprised with the heat and power of the dryer. My regular hair dryer is quite powerful and has 3 settings and I would say that the 1 and 2 on this are pretty much the same power as my regular dryer. That said the head of the hairdryer where the heat comes out is smaller being a travel dryer and so it does take that bit longer to dry my hair with it. It probably adds about 5 minutes on my normal drying time which I don't think is bad. I also found that my hair did not seem to be as frizzy as it normally is when I am on holiday and dry my hair so that was a bonus as well. The power cord is not overly long I would say just under 2 meters so you do will need either a travel mirror or to have a plug by your mirror if you need to style.

I give this hair dryer 5 stars it cost £9.99 from T K Maxx and was the perfect holiday dryer.
