I bought this hairdryer in Nov 2014 in Sainsbury's because it was on offer (60% off) and I was looking for a replacement quickly for my old one. I hadn't tried a Phil Smith product before but was persuaded by the price at the time, and although I was not expecting too much, I was very pleasantly surprised. I have now used the dryer three times and I found the dryer not too heavy which is important to me as I don't have a lot of strength in my arms, and straightforward to operate. The dryer has variable speeds and heat settings, the highest setting can get a little hot which I'd read in other reviews but I found that was only if you hold it too close to your scalp. I held the dryer a little further away and didn't find this a problem. The dryer has a diffuser which helps to dry your hair evenly and a concentrator to direct airflow for more precise styling. I have fine soft hair which can be difficult to style, and my hair drops quickly, sometimes before I've left the house, so a decent hair dryer is essential. Using this dryer with a round styling brush and some mousse applied, gave my hair body and lift without taking too long to style. A good hair styling item which I would be happy to recommend to anyone looking to purchase a new hairdryer. I'm thinking of purchasing a second one as a Christmas present whilst it's being offered at such a good price.
Featuring three heat settings and two fan speeds the Phil Smith Dryer is a quick way to great hair. It usefully features a long 1.8m cord to give you complete freedom of movement and plenty of flex from the socket. A final cool shot button lets you set your style beautifully while an easy clean filter makes maintenance a breeze. A safety overheat cut out adds to peace of mind.
