Advantages: 3 Heat Settings, 3 Speed Settings, Nice design and reasonable price

Disadvantages: Overheats quickly, then takes ages to work again. Little bit heavy

I have had my Remington Hairdryer D5015 for around 5 years and I purchased it from Boots when I had save up a bundle of Advantage Card Points so I technically had it free in my eyes :) I think at the time is was around £35 from Boots but I have since seen it on Amazon for just over £20, as they have probably brought out newer models since then

The model is a sleek black and silver design. It is quite a big hairdryer and it can become a little heavy it you are using it for a while. But its performance makes it worthwhile.

The D5015 has 3 heat settings and a 'Cool Shot' button. The three settings range from warm to hot, and the hot setting dries my hair within 4 minutes. The three settings are enough and I wouldn't really use anymore than the three so it really suits my needs. The Cool Shot button is set at the top of the handle so it is in an awkward position. But if you want to set your hair the cool shot helps this.

Aswell as the 3 heat settings there are three speed settings. The lowest is too low and wouldn't dry my hair at all, but the medium is just right and this is the one I use the most. There is a fast setting but I find this too loud.

The hairdryer usually comes with a nozzle to concentrate the drying effect but I haven't really found this useful and don't really use it.

I use the hairdryer nearly everyday and my hair has never become damaged or split. My hair dries glossy and shiny if you point the barrel down the hair shaft, but can give a lot of volume if you dry you hair with your head tipped over.

I do find that the hairdryer overheats too quickly now its a bit old. I do clean out the filter regularly but this doesn't seem to help. If you switch the dryer off before your finished it takes ages to turn back on again, I think it has to cool down first. It is just over 5 years old and with the excess use I give it I can't really complain!

Summary: As it is an old model now you can pick them up cheap, and as mine shows they last for years!
