Amongst all the other big name brand razors on the shelves, you'll often come across a very cheap alternative, one you can hardly miss with their bright yellow packaging. Bic make razors, who knew? Well perhaps they should stick to making pens because these are real bottom of the barrel blades. Considering you can pick up a pack of 10 for £1, you have some idea of what you're in for. 10 razors in bright industrial orange, with 9cm handles, white heads and a safety cover. The hexagon shaped handles are completely hollow, the ends are open, with little indented lines for slightly better grip. If you squeezed the handle enough you could easily end up breaking them. The actual shave is as uncomfortable as you might expect, the first time I used one I got cut about 3 or 4 times so the fact that the front of the pack says 'sensitive' is a bit of a joke. The lone blade isn't so much a problem because it doesn't rust or get cluttered up with hairs easily, so thats a plus. You get 2 choices with these razors, a carful, cautious shave with minimal irritation and stray hairs or a real shave getting real cut up. Basically, if you're in a rush or lazy, you'll probably bleed.
Another downside is the lack of any moisturizer strip for better comfort. You can get a handful of use out of them though and they're an absolute steel for the price they go for - you can tell they are easily mass produced as they use minimal (and recyclable) materials. Overal, not very good at all but understandable and reasonable for anyone on a strict budget.
Never has the term "You get what you pay for" been more appropriate.
