Advantages: One of the best disposable razors out there.
Disadvantages: A small cut and dry legs.
I do normally use my Wilkinson Quattro razor, which I love and find that it gives me a good shave. I find I can't use cheap razors - I end up with little cuts on my legs, and not the best of finishes (hence why I initially decided to go for a non-disposable razor with the Quattro), so yea, I am very fussy about my razor usage.
However, recently when on a trip for work I forgot my Quattro back at home. After popping in to the local town centre I bought myself these Bic Soleil razors. I bought them in Bodycare for £2.29 for a pack of 4. The ones I have are actually shades of pink/purple, not the green ones in the picture. Both shades are available, but I'm attracted to anything pink! At £2.29 a pack, it's about 55p a razor. Not too bad value - especially if they work!
The razors come in an easy open pack, which is a plus point. But there could have been less packaging used for this particular product. The 'easy open' cover to the packet is really easy to open. But it does also tear in the process, which means it's not a great packet for storing the razors in once opened.
The razors do have a floral kind of scent to them. Although this is a random nice little extra the scent isn't particularly strong and has no affect on the product itself.
*Using the Razors*
The razors themselves are ok. They are light, have easy grip handles, and generally glide along the skin the way a decent razor should do. They also have a moisturising strip. Now, on this trip I had also forgotten shaving gel so decided to use a trick I had read about in a magazine - use some conditioner instead! So after applying a thin layer of conditioner to my legs I ran the razor over them. The result was nice smooth legs. :-) I did need to use moisturiser afterwards - possibly due to using conditioner rather than shaving gel, possibly due to the razor. But I have used this conditioner 'trick' before with my Quattro and not had to use moisturiser afterwards.
The other thing that I found with these razors is that I did get a little cut. Only a tiny one, but still not what I was wanting. But them compared to other cheaper disposable razors these are much better. With cheaper 'value' razors I find that I end up with a poor shave - little cuts and dry legs. So in comparison, these are much better - may be towards the higher end of the budget for throw-away razors, but worth it if disposable razors are your choice. Personally though I would recommend getting a non disposable razor.
Summary: Great disposable razor, but non-disposable razors are better.
