Disadvantages: SORE

You'd think I'd learn wouldn't you? Well, clearly not. Remember that bored day I bought the Nad's Hair Removal from a shopping channel then didn't like it? Well, one day Body4Real email me and ask me to test their sugaring kit and write a dooyoo review on it. Why not I said to myself, what is there to lose (apart from hair hopefully)?

In comes the box of stuff and I sit it on my desk and think about it for a few weeks. Not being one for pain I have to try to pluck up courage for these sorts of things... but wait a minute, according to the Rachel G from Ringoes NJ says it isn't painful, and why would she lie to me?

In the box you get a multi-lingual instruction sheet, a jar of MOOM 100% natural hair remover, a roll of cotton cut into big & wee bits and a few wooden lolly sticks.

I decide to read the instructions which isn't like me but I thought that maybe if I did it right for a change then it might work (not like the whole Nad's fiasco).

Best place to start seemed to be right in the centre of my shin. Heat jar in microwave being careful not to heat for more then 10 seconds or "serious injury could occur", slap on the stuff, which looks like honey but probably isn't, stick the bit of cotton on and rip...

OOOOWWWWWCCCCHHHHHH... where are those instructions again, must have done it wrong since it hurt like hell. Nope everything seemed to be in order.

I was really disappointed that it was sore and that it left loads of hair anyway so not only did you hurt yourself once but you had to go back over the sore bit and do it again. Well, not being a glutton for punishment I did it a couple of times more (just to be fair to the product) and then gave up.

The outcome of the whole experience is
a) Never use anything like that again, clearly I can't do it and it is far too sore
b) Don't just accept free samples for things when you really didn't
want it anyway.
c) Don't believe people who only have an initial for a surname!

I'm giving it three stars out of fairness since a braver person could probably have used it without hurting too much. I still have the entire kit sitting beside me in it's box so if anyone else wants to have a shot (I binned the cotton and the wooden stick that I used) then let me know and I'll post it down.

The body4real website has it priced at £14.99 which is not too badly priced I suppose if you can manage to do it yourself. Think I'll stick to shaving though... Now where do I get free samples of razors to test out?
