Advantages: work well, easy to hold

Disadvantages: -

The other day I noticed a few eye brow hairs that desperately needed plucking and this is when I realised that I had lost my slanted tweezers. I practically turned the house upside down as I love them and hate my eyebrows not being perfect. After many hours of searching it seemed that they were lost forever and I knew I had to find a replacement pair QUICK! This is when I decided to go to Boots as I know they do their own brand and after researching on the website they didn't seem that expensive at all which was what I had hoped for.

PACKAGING

When I got to Boots, I have to say these are not the most eye catching of packets to find and it took me a while to locate the aisle. Once I found it there were so many tweezers that my eyes probably zoomed over these numerous times until finally I found them on the bottom shelf. They are in a grey cellophane time packet and it has the Boots logo and then in white type says 'slanted tweezers' and that is about as exciting as it gets which is no wonder why I could not find them.

TWEEZERS

I have always plucked my eye brows for as long as I can remember and although you can get so many things these days like threading or waxing I just wouldn't trust anyone else to go near them. Some people may find this silly but I do have quite a lucky natural shape to my eyebrows so they do not seem to get badly out of this shape as I keep quite on top of them so that they are never hairy and overgrown. I have had tweezers in the past that just cannot grip onto hair even the smallest of roots which is no use to me.

I like to grab hairs from the smallest bit showing to ensure they will not grow back right after I have done all of my eyebrows. With these eyebrows being a slanted set, this is what I always go for as I feel it picks the hairs out the easiest and the quickest, it is all metal and just has a slanted top. The slant did look quite pointed which is good as you obviously don't want it blunt or you know it will have a bad success rate. I found these very easy to hold and position when looking into the mirror.

In terms of actually removing the hair, it really wasn't that painful at all. It seemed to easily grip onto the smallest of roots and pull them out and I was left with a very nicely shaped eyebrow with not stray hairs. It was a very quick process with these tweezers and for the money they really did seem to do a good job. You just need to be quick and just the lightest push together made these clip on and pull out hair from the root. These are nice and sharp when new but like all tweezers they probably will get blunt after a while.

I think for the price of these they are good and although Tweezerman are meant to be the best I don't justify paying a lot for something like this. These tweezers have done a good job and I am very happy with their performance in making my eyebrows perfect looking. They are easy to hold and make tweezing very comfortable and if you cannot afford your usual wax/threading session then plucking with these slanted tweezers is an option I would highly recommend.

COST

If you are considering a new pair of tweezers then these slanted ones can b picked up from Boots. I paid £1.89 for them which I thought was shockingly cheap as I was expecting to pay about double that even for their own brand. I was very impressed with this price and being such good quality I'd gladly pay it again. You will also collect Advantage Card points if you have a card.
