Boys you may want to look away now but we girls sometimes need a little bit of help grooming in places. Yes, we appear to have smooth skin and neatly trimmed hair when you see us but believe me, it takes work and one of those places that needs work from time to time is the bikini area. It's not just a necessity if you actually spend you days lounging by a pool in a bikini but I also think its nice to keep it trimmed and short for a healthy down there feeling and its also quite nice for your man too as I believe most of them like you to put a bit of work into the area. Now, I am not completely bald, I do not like to look like an undeveloped school girl but I do like it quite short.

Now, I never wax, I have never been to a salon to be waxed, I think the pain would just be too much to bear so I have to take care of this area myself. I much prefer to cut or trim the area rather than pull the hairs out from their root sockets so in order to help me with this I have a Boots Bikini trimmer.

This is such a simple little tool to use. Its got quite a small head, much smaller than a razor as it needs to work in a smaller surface area. There are little shaving heads in this part and then also a comb on top of the blades. There is a simple on/off button that presses upwards when you want to turn it on and then off you go and trim to your hearts delight. I find that the actual shaver part is not as good as a proper shaver is so if you have quite a lot of hair to get rid of in the first palce I recommend firstly doing it with a leg shaver as you will get a better cut. However, once you have got a lot of the hair taken away then if you just do upkeep with this machine it works well. The hard to reach places like right in the crack of your leg and around the actual bikini line are really well reached with this tool as it is quite small so you can get quite a close shave and really take the hairs away. The comb bit really guides and separates any stray hairs you may have and so picks them up and helps you get rid of them. This comb is actually adjustable and you can adjust the length too is you need to.

Obviously as you are only cutting the hair the results will not last as long as if you had the area waxed but for a low pain experience I definitely this trimmer. I probably have to reuse this tool about every 5 days or so but can leave it longer if I am not exposing the area for a while!!

The trimmer comes with a travel ouch for you to store it in and a cleaning brush as well which I find handy to dust off any stray hairs that keep themselves on the blades or comb. THis trimmer cost me about £15 from Boots which I thought was a really good price.
