I noticed the Fusion ProGlide on sale a little while ago and picked one up, thinking it was a bit of a bargain and always up for trying something new. I used to use Venus razors (that's right, I'm a girl) but since trying out my boyfriend's last year I opted to go for a man's razor. It actually worked more effectively, and even though the ProGlide definitely gets a recommendation for me, I'd still prefer not to have the lubrication strip across the top (hence 4 stars). Gillette is a P&G product, and across the front of this is a 'Worldwide Partner' logo to show it's sponsoring the Olympics (hence this is a 'special edition' pack). It's a huge brand and ... I bet you are wondering how I got this razor for no cost to me whatsoever, huh? No, I didn't steal it. Gillette gave it to me. Still confused? I don't blame you. I'll explain... Gillette, for a number of years, have offered to give away one fo their razors to people for their 18th birthday. The idea behind this promotion is that even though they are giving away a razor, which most likely actually cost them very little to produce, they will still make a profit as they will have encouraged these people to use their shaving products alongside their razor for possibly even the rest of their lives (hence why they give it away to 18 years olds). Having spent many cheapskate years shaving with disposables, this razor was an epiphany! I was used to a good shave on day one from the old plastic ones, deteriorating over 4-5 days to a shave akin to dragging a rusty garden implement across your face. The Gillette is not cheap - the razor itself can be picked up fairly reasonably with a couple of heads, but the replacement heads are eyewateringly expensive, but don't let this put you off. First thing on a cold winter morning if the hot water is not as hot as you would like, these razors are a joy. They glide across your face beautifully and continue to do so for, in my experience, about 10-14 ... Read the complete review

The razor gives an extremely smooth and comfortable shave, with little irritation, compared to its market competitors. I personally have a sensitive neck area and this razor is the best I have tried for getting a close and more importantly comfortable shave. The razor head itself has a large number of blades which are close together therefore spreading the pressure of the head across a greater area and giving a closer shave. The weighted handle is also another nice touch, giving a very balanced and easily manoeuvrable feel to the whole piece of kit when using it. The main negative with these razors is the price of replacement heads; however the blades are of such a ... Read the complete review

I found this to be the best razor , i have tried the wilkinson sword hydro 5 recently and i just didn't find it any good even with the top blade pulled back . With the proglide i found to be the most comfortable close shave out there it gives you less razor rash and redness , plus the blades are strong and durable , which last a long long time , i use my pro glide blade with the power handle which is battered operated i think that gives you are more closer shave with less irritation , the pro glide does what it says it does glide just be care full if you have any blemishes as you may cut yourself , it is very safe to use and i recommend that you do use ...
