I suffer from psoriasis which causes my skin to be easily irritated, the large moisture Olay bars either side of the blades largely reduced my irritation, the best it has been for a long time. It left my legs well shaven with a smooth finish. I had no itching or stinging I was comfortable and happy with the results. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has trouble with dry or easily irritated skin. And to top it off the blue and gold o...more

Gillette Venus & Olay: Smoothly does it ~ Gillette and Olay join forces (480 words)

As most women out there, I am always on the look out for that perfect shave that is easy to complete and will leave me the skin similar to that of a Greek goddess. When this item came up to review recently, I snapped at the chance. The packaging oozes that sense of luxury with the vibrant golds and yellows. I wasn't disappointed when I actually saw the razor. The handle has been ergonomically produced so I felt it wasn't going to be a chore to carry out the shave. It has 2 strips of, what can only be described as, soft and rubbery material on it ~ one above the razor and one below. This is so you don't then need to apply a shaving gel or cream beforehand and ...  Read the complete review

I was given this product to review as it is relatively new to the market, but if you were to purchase it, the usual retail price is £10.99 and with that you get one razor handle and one venus razor head with two bars of olay moisturising soap attached. It also comes with a little stand that has a sucker on it to fix somewhere in the shower that I've found to be quite handy. At first use, I thought it was a great item, it does moisturise legs very well and they feel very smooth after even using it for a couple of minutes quickly. I have very dry skin and my legs felt much nicer after using it, even after the first use. Even inbetween shaving my legs have felt ...  Read the complete review

I have always used the Gillette Venus range on my legs, underarms and bikini region. I use Olay on my face and when I saw that they had combined with Gillette I had to try them. I was a bit taken aback by the price, however I usually pay more for the Gillette brand, £10.99 is a bit much I thought but decided I'd see if it was worth the extra pennies. It was! A great shave (208 words)

I noticed this as the newest addition to the Venus range in my supermarket and thought it was worth giving it a try. The packaging looked very glamourous and inviting. However, the price tag for one razor head and a handle at £10.99 did seem rather a lot. As a comparison, my usual purchase would be the Gillette Venus Spa Breeze, this is usually around £5 with 2 razor heads and a handle. Both razors have a large skin moisturising bars either size of the razor heads which make a significant difference in preventing shaving rash and dry skin. The Olay razor did seem superior in this respect, but only marginally. I noticed that my legs felt moisturised ...  Read the complete review
