Purchase I bought this razor out of desperation when ASDA had literally run out of all the others. I really didn't relish the idea of spending £8 on one razor! But read on...! Venus on the Whole Venus razors are pretty good on the whole - prior to these I had used the big flat ones Gillette brought out in the 90's (which incidentally were used as props in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace as communicators!). I found them really useful and loved the rubber grip they had, and resisted the temptation to convert as long as I could! When they were phased out and the Venus were phased in I figured it was just another marketing ploy. As it turned out they are ... Read the complete review

I'll admit now that I don't have particularly sensitive skin and that I chose this over my normal razorhead pack because I found a bargain on eBay - and hey, it can't be any worse, can it? These razors are, in my opinion, EXCELLENT. I don't even use a gel or even water when I shave with them sometimes, and the shave isn't so close if you do that but they still don't irritate my skin! I find that the five blades (vs. normal three) mean that you don't have to press so hard to get all the hair in 1 (max. 2) strokes, which would be a plus for anyone with really sensitive skin. Despite the large head size (which I actually like), I've even used this for a bit of bikini line .. Read the complete review

after many attempts at razors and horrible irritation i gave up and moved on to professional waxing, but as a student thats an expensive upkeep! so instead i thought i would bite the bullet and try razors again, fearing the wost i went with venus proskin sensitive, and im glad i did! this razor as a moisturising strip that actually works, soft legs and no irritation - amazing!. top tip - use conditioner not shaving gel , cheaper and softer legs also multi use!

I have always hated shaving, my skin is quite sensitive especially to razors unfortunatly waxing is to lengthy a process and epilation is too painful. The best i had found was gilettes venus 3 with a smoothing 'moisture strip' but it still wasnt really good enough.. I thought i was doomed to put up with irritating, harsh razors forever. Then i saw an advert on the tv for the gillette proskin venus sensitive, it sounded perfect but was it? I bought one from boots for just under a tenner and hoped for the best! It came with one spare cartridge and a handy showerpod and instead of the standard 3 blades, this has 5. I used it in the bath with ... Read the complete review

I have only recently gone from waxing to shaving in the last couple of years or so because waxing requires too much planning and causes in-grown hairs however, although shaving is obviously quicker and more convenient, I have found it irritates my skin a lot, especially on my legs. It appears I have sensitive skin which I didn't even realise I had. I always had to have a really hot shower so I didn't have any goose bumps for shaving, and then after make sure I kept completely warm for about 24 hours after otherwise it seems my goosebumps irritated the hair underneath the skin and caused irritations and bumps. This was almost impossible in UK winter so to be honest, it ... Read the complete review
