Johnsons shower and shave is a 2 in 1 product designed to be used as both a body wash and a shaving cream. It comes in three different formulas - Nourishing, Refreshing and Comforting. I bought the comforting one, which contains aloe vera, and so that is the product I will be referring to throughout this review. ~Packaging~ This comes in a baby pink coloured bottle with the johnsons logo and product information written over a background of pink bubbles. The bottle has an easy to open flip top lip, which is also flat. The packaging is nothing special (but for a product costing £2.29 you wouldn’t necessarily expect it to be), but its inoffensive at ... Read the complete review

I never bother to pull out shaving gel or foam and shave my legs, there just never seems to be the time for a luxury for that, so I always end up, running my blade over my legs while in the shower and just using normal shower gel. For some reason my skin, although sensitive to perfumes and strong scented shower gels, is immune to blades, and I cant ever remember a time I got a nick. So I have never felt the need to buy anything special for this routine, but not feeling the need is a moot point when you love to treat yourself and you find a bargain... So two euros poorer but with a brand new bottle of Johnsons silky shave I decided to see what this was all ... Read the complete review

I came across this some time last year when it was first out. I tend to stick with gillette shave cream (which I've reviewed on here) because I know what it's like and it does the job, so I wouldn't have noticed this if it weren't for the signs up advertising it. Silky Skin Show & Shave Cream is produced by Johnson's, (branched under 'Johnson & Johnson'), who have years of knowledge and experience in skincare. I have fairly sensitive skin so I tend to opt for products that say they're kind or especially designed for sensitive skin. Johnson's products tend to emphasise their skin kindness, and this is described as being 'comforting' and 'gentle'. ... Read the complete review

Having sensitive skin affects everything including hair removal which is a big deal for us women. There are few hair removal creams that are suitable for sensitive skins and waxing often irritates the skin far too much to justify the pain against the 4 hair free weeks. So I stick to shaving and stealing my husbands shaving foam when I've ran out of conditioner (good money saving tip). I saw this product advertised and thought I'd give it a go. Johnson's are normally a safe option when it comes to my skin and the idea is fantastic, definitely saving me time that would be better spent elsewhere than making a mess in the bathroom. I purchased the ... Read the complete review

I spotted this in Ethel Austin's before Christmas at a great price ( under £1) so decided to pop a couple in my daughters' stockings hoping they'd be useful to them & they were both really pleased. Luckily I don't have to shave my legs & underarms as much as I used to due to the menopause & having light auburn hair it was never a real problem to just use soap & a woman's razor to get rid if the light hairs - I think the only shaving creams around when I was a teenager were the men's ones?! My daughters, however, have dark brown hair & shaving is a part of their regular routine so I am tempted to buy more of this for them as it's ... Read the complete review
