I was recently given a small bottle of Johnson's Silky Skin Shower & Shave Cream, so as I was going away I thought I would take it on my holiday. It is a body wash and a shave cream, a real 2 in 1 product from the Johnson's stable.

I had never really used a specialised shave product for the shower so was a touch sceptical. I was away in sunny climes on holiday so wanted to be fuzz free all day long, and was prepared to give it a shot. I tried the cream product putting a small penny size drop in my hand then rubbed it into my legs, I then immediately shaved my legs which was surprisingly easy, the razor glided over my skin leaving it super smooth and I think it was a far better and closer shave (I was using my normal razor). The cream is pale pink and is delicately fragranced which is good particularly as it doubles up for a body wash, so it is not too overpowering but has a nice smell. I also found using it for underarms particularly effective.

So after three weeks of using it I have to admit I am sold on it, but as I was using a small bottle that I had been given I had to find out how much it was. I saw it in Boots at £2.45 but even better found it in a local shop for £1.49 (so I bought a couple). It is a 250ml sized bottle in Johnson's signature pink branding. It also comes in nourishing, comforting and refreshing formulas. I chose the comforting formula which has aloe vera that helps to soothe your skin. The bottle states that the cream works in two ways to cleanse & condition skin with moisture that lasts 24 hours and that the rich creamy lather ensures an extra smooth shave that helps prevents nicks and cuts.

I would recommend this for an easy smooth shave and a 2 in 1 body wash, if I wasn't shaving I would probably use another body wash but for shaving it gets tops marks from me.
