Jolen is not one of the best hair bleaches on the market although it is probably one of the best known.
The packaging of the product is very pedestrian for a start. Inside the green and white box are two pots - one of bleach and one of accelerator and an applicatior/mixer plus a plastic slide to mix on. The bleach and the aplicator are more solid than liquid. They are gritty and quite hard to mix together.
Once mixed, the product does work, but it *really* smells of bleach. As it is directly under your nose this is not a good point. I finds it so bad that it makes my eyes run.
Washing it down the plughole is also difficult as it is so thick.
Boots lightener is a better product than this one, although I have stopped using facial bleachers altogether as after the ten minute wait etc you still look like you have hair on your face; it is just an unnatural colour!
