Nair Sensitive Hair Removal Cream
Advantages: Removes hair, easy to apply, All hair types, for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: The smell, not much use from 100ml tube
INTRODUCTION AND PRICE
I first came across Nair Sensitive Hair Removal Cream, whilst looking through Poundland when it first opened. I always wanted to try a hair removal cream but was unsure because of the larger price tags and not many suitable for my over sensitive skin. So when I saw the recognised brand, Nair were selling a sensitive hair removal cream for all types of hair for Just £1, I took the chance. I now see them often marked as £1 in selected supermarkets and stores.
Simple, bland box, easy to store and very informative packaging.
Nair sensitive hair removal cream comes in a white rectangular/cuboid box with a faded pink wiggly line down the side with the simple Navy blue Nair hair remover logo, on the front stating a delicate fragrance and dermatology tested.
On the sides of the box they have all of the information of who can use it, where not to use it, instructions, test patch, ingredients, cautions, contact details, recycling information, use within 12 months of opening, 100ml. All the informative information you would usually receive in the booklet but more.
Upon opening the box I received a leaflet and a squeezable toothpaste style tube with a white screw top which also contains a lot of information on the reverse side. Easy to squeeze, used after a few uses on selected areas.
It is advised not to use in hard to reach or extra sensitive areas such as near the eyes, in the nose, ears or breast nipples also in the genital areas. If you use near any of these regions be VERY careful it can sting.
If you get it in any unwanted areas, rinse thoroughly as soon as possible.
Keep out of reach of Children.
A small test of hair removal cream should be carried out 24 hours before fully applying the cream, encase of allergic reactions even if you are a previous user. How to test patch: place a small amount of hair removal cream near the area of testing leave for 5-10 minutes before washing off with a warm damp cloth.
Wait 24 hours as this is a sufficient amount of time that reactions generally occur within.
DIRECTION OF USE
- Smooth on the cream in a thick, even layer covering the areas you would like to remove the hair from.
- Do NOT rub in.
- Leave for 5-6 minutes and try and wipe away a small area of hair with a damp warm cloth, if the hair isn't removing easily, leave for a maximum of 10 minutes in total and wipe away with a warm damp cloth.
Before using the product, opening the tube you are greeted with a small delicate fragrance as listed on the front of the box itself, I applied the even layer of cream to the areas that I wanted to remove hair from, ex. armpits, legs and another area (being very careful)
As the time 5-10 minutes went by, there was an odd smell filling the room, it was almost a strange burning smell, I must admit it was a little off putting and made me quite cautious.
BUT I was delighted with the results; After washing away with a damp warm sponge/flannel/cloth it is important not to itch or scratch the areas as they can become sore, but you shouldn't feel the urge to. I was left with radiant, smooth, soft, silky skin without any hair. I am very pleased from this product and have stocked up on it. I often get an irritation after shaving so this is a delight to use unfortunately and unwanted smell to clear from the room afterwards though!
