My other half was suffering quite a bit with a shaving rash on his neck. I decided to have a look at some different shaving foams or gels to the one he was used to buying. I saw this can of Palmolive for Men shaving gel in Sainsbury for £1.40 and saw that it was specially for sensitive skin with Aloe Vera in it so I thought I would buy it and see if he would try it out. My other half is one of these who likes to use products that are manly and will not even consider using anything that might have a hint of being feminine so I was a bit worried that he would not try this product even though it was specially for men but his skin was getting quite sore so he decided to give it a go. He always shaves with a throw away razor so likes to lather up well before shaving. He has been used to buying shaving foam so this was going to be a new experience for him. The spray can ejects a nice small amount of gel out into your hand, not like when you use foam and it goes everywhere. He quite liked this idea as it meant he could apply it easier to his face without it all glooping down over his clothes or all over the bathroom sink. It lathered up really well and he said it felt nice to shave over it, the razor was gliding over his skin and he couldn't feel any scraping at all. When he had finished he rinsed off what was left and he said his face was feeling lovely and smooth. I had to have a feel for myself and it did feel really nice to the touch. He found that the rash he was getting before stopped and his skin felt much better. When I was next going to shave my legs I thought may be I could try some of this gel on my legs instead of using soap like I usually do. I found it so much better to use, as my other half has said, the shaver just glided across the top of the skin and it felt so smooth, it didn't feel like I was shaving at all. The skin on my legs were not only smooth after use but they felt quite moisturised as well which is a marvel as I really suffer from dry skin especially after shaving and I used to have to apply loads of moisturiser straight after or my legs would look like they were peeling. I would highly recommend this shaving gel to not only blokes but to girls as well. It smells nice for both to use, it is not highly scented but just smells clean and fresh. This product exceeded all of my expectations; it's a joy to use, if that can be said of any shaving product. The gel is practically odourless, which I like as it doesn't compete with my favourite aftershave. I found that to achieve the best results I moisten the face and apply a very small blob of gel onto a barely damp brush. This produces masses of silky smooth foam that allows the razor to simply glide through the stubble, with plenty of foam remaining on the brush to go again on any bits missed first time around. So far the 200ml can has provided me with more than sixty great shaves, (and I'm a Bruce Forsyth lookalike). Priced at around £1.50, this is great value for money. Although the appearance has recently been revised and I think, improved, those of you worried about your street-cred might wish to conceal the can at the back of the cabinet, away from prying eyes, leaving an empty of something more exotic on view. Since coming across this product I've not been tempted to try anything different, which is testimony to my satisfaction.
