Advantages: 13p, small, twin blade

Disadvantages: only lasts a few shaves, not recyclable

As part of my moneysaving converting period I have downgraded my brands right down to the Tesco everyday value. These razors believe it or not only cost 13p for 5 plastic razors with two blades.

They come in a plastic packet with the new value range blue design. The razors are quite small and thin (the plastic bit) compared to other brands like bic which I suppose is better for the environment as after around three uses on various parts of the body it needs to be thrown away.

The blades are reasonably sharp, but not as much as others which is why you can only get 3 uses before the blade goes blunt. They are quite easy to hold in the shower as the handle is small and it is quite maneuverable.

They are blue in colour and the blade is silver, it has a small plastic cover which clips on to protect the blade (or your fingers) in between uses. I dont think it can be recycled which is a shame and neither can the packet it comes in.

If you shave regularly, as in men, on your face, then dont use these. They can leave your skin feeling a little delicate and my underarms have sometimes come up in a small rash if I try to do it more than every few days. On my legs there have been a few small cuts but nothing serious. Either way, the quality is not excellent, but if your on a budget then for 13p you cant go wrong. Make sure you use a nice soft shower gel whilst shaving so that the blades run over your skin smoothly.

Summary: Only bought as part of my brand downgrade challenge
