Advantages: Cheap, effective

Disadvantages: Slightly runnier than other shaving gels

As I mentioned in my previous review I need to always use shaving gel when shaving my legs to avoid getting a nasty rash or skin irritation. I simply couldn't shave dry as it would leave my legs in pieces! I tried this Tesco "satin feel wild berry shaving gel" when I was looking for a cheaper alternative to some of the branded shaving gels.

This shaving gel comes in a purple can with the name of the product and a picture of some berries on the front. The can is quite bright and easily spotted on the supermarket shelves. It is also quite feminine and looks good in your bathroom. The can holds 200ml of shaving gel. The lid is also purple and just pulls on and off, revealing a button underneath which you press to dispense some of the shaving gel.

When you press the button a bright purple shaving gel is released. When I apply it to damp legs, the gel turns into a foam. I would say that in comparison to the more expensive branded shaving gels this product is a bit more runny, however this is not a major problem as it still stays put on my legs until I shave them. I find that due to the slightly more runny consistency I actually use less of this product that I would with thicker shaving gels, therefore making it last longer.

After shaving my legs with this gel I simply rinse it off in the shower. My legs feel smooth and soft and all stubble and hairs has been effectively removed. I find that this shaving gel leaves my legs feeling noticeably moisturised and even after drying I get no itchiness or irritation. This shaving gel smells quite nice, it is quite an artificial smell but is sweet and fruity and leaves my bathroom smelling good.

It's product currently costs £1.28 in my local Tesco and when I compare that to the over £3 that is charged for the branded shaving gels, I think it's a complete bargain. I give it 4* and would recommend it for anyone who wants to buy shaving gel at a reasonable price. Thanks for reading/rating and I hope this reviews was useful to you.
