Tesco Value Shaving Foam
Advantages: Works well for the price
Disadvantages: None to say
I have tried all different types of shaving, but my favourite still has to be the razor. Nothing comes close to the finish you get from using one. My electric shaver is good, but leaves me feeling rough and not as smooth as proper shaving. I like to use shave gel like any other person. Recently I went on two holidays, one to Mallorca and the other to Tenerife. I wanted to take something along with me that I could leave out there after using so I could bring back as much alcohol and prezzies in my bag. I saw this on the shelf at tesco and thought it was worth the try. To price was a real bargain and that is why I picked it up. I figured I would only use it 3 or 4 times and it was worth the try! The bottle looked very unappealing, however this did not put me off and I proceeded to buy the shave gel!
I only paid 31p for this. Compared to others on the shelf which ranged up to well over £3 this was a bargain. The bottle was a tall white colour with tesco value written all over it. I have bought another one recently and it has changed to the everyday value design which is now a familiar site when at tesco! For the price I could not complain. I was not expecting a mirical product! Just a practical one which was easy to use. And this is what I got!
How did it work?:
I was a little worries before using this as I had no idea what it would be like! I was very surprised to find that it was easy to cover my entire face and neck with. It felt like any other shave gel which made me wonder why I pay so much for my usual Nivea product. When I applied my razor to my face, I was able to shave pain free and it did feel comfortable. The fragrance of the shave foam isn't bad and it did the job. Maybe it doesn't allow you to glide as smooth as the other products on the shelf. It definately worked and my girlfriend even used this to shave her legs as she forgot to bring her usual stuff! She said it was ok and did the job too. If your on a budget I would strongly recommend that you give this a try as its amazing for the price your paying. It will also last you a very long time. It'd great to take camping or on holiday as your not too worried about bringing it back.
I would recommend this to you because of the price. It's not the best I have ever used, but it did the job exceptionally and left me with a close shave. I do have sensitive skin and it didn't seem to affect my skin in a bad way at all which was execellent. Some products really don't agree with me, this one did! You will never find anything cheaper on the market. The bottle and the general look may not be too appealing, but believe me it's much better than your first impression. This gets a 4 star rating from me. It's not the best quality, but sure it the best price!
Thanks for reading my review on tesco value shave gel. I liked this product more than I first thought I would!
Summary: Excellent for the price
