      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Small but mighty hair straighteners

I often go away for a few days here and there, either to my folk's caravan, going to see bands and weekend away. So I went looking for some handy put powerful hair straighteners which were also cheap and cheerful so to speak.

      Babyliss Ceramic 215 Hair Straighteners:

"These straighteners offer you high quality hair styling in the comfort of your home. Once you have passed these straighteners through your hair, you will be ready to go out and face the world. Whether you are going off to work or going out for the evening"

      My Findings:

I love it when gadgets are easy to use and these are so simple, just take it out of the box and plug them in. It states they heat up to 215c within sixty second and true to that fact they sure do get hot very quickly.

The heated plates are ceramic they simply and evenly glide over my hair with complete ease. As I have very long and thick hair I have to put my hair into sections when it comes to using straighteners. Using these straighteners I start from the root and work my way to the end in one sliding motion. I only need to do this once per section and my hair falls perfectly straight and kink free.

The ceramic plates are not very big on the width however they still do the job perfectly; I think these are great when popping them into my bag or case. - Small but mighty. The cord is a good length at 1.85m and it also has a swivel at the top of the cord which is excellent when doing my hair at all angles.

Like with most hair straighteners I would recommend using a heat proof matt when using them. The top and bottom of these straighteners do get extremely hot so caution is needed, however when I'm out I normally forget about my heat proof matt and lay them down on whatever surface is there. So far no damage done!

With these straighteners there is no temperature control dial you just have a simple on and off switch. When you turn these on by the switch the little light indicator will show so you know there on. Me personally I always leave them unplugged until I'm ready to use them as knowing me I would forget to use the switch to turn them off.

As they are so fast at heating up it does take a little time for them to cool down again, so they need at least fifteen minutes before packing them back away. I've had these for a couple of months now; and they have had a lot of use with even my sister pinching them a few times. I've had no issue with any loss of heat at all.

Another good thing about these as the ceramic plates are slim you can also use them to create curls in your hair. They make neat curls so this makes for two gadgets in one.

      Price and Availability:

I paid just £17.97 from my local Tesco's which is also the cheapest when I did a price comparison. But of course shop around as you know prices do tend to change a lot.

      Overall:

For the money these beauties are fantastic value, it smoothes all the kinks out of my hair with hardly any effort what so ever. Perfect for popping in your bag for trips away and very fast to heat up, so great when needing to straighten my hair in a rush.

I always use a heat protection spray on my hair to try and give it a little help from the heat, however I'm told by my hairdresser if you use straighteners on your hair make sure your hair is still a little damp. This will help stop your hair from breaking and being to dry.

I would certainly recommend these for people that need to tame their hair!
Five out of five stars from me.

      Thank you for reading :o)

      Additional Information:

The box states " used by the leading hairdressers" personally I've never seen hair dressers use theses before but hey ho.
