My hair is wavy and quite dense, which means it can be a bit of a devil to style. My old straighteners, whose top temperature seemed to be about 25 degrees, managed to flatten my hair a bit but did not achieve what I would call a super sleek or poker straight look. Of late I've reverted to wearing my hair in its naturally wavy state, which I like perfectly well, but I have often thought that it would be nice to actually be able to alter my style now and again. The BaByliss Straight & Curl Straighteners come with a heat-proof mat and four hair clips and have ten different temperature settings, the highest temperature being 230 degrees. They heat up in just ... Read the complete review

Parts of this review also on Amazon. With so many straighteners around it's getting harder to find something unique but after seeing the BaByliss 2082U Pro 230 Straight & Curl I had to give them a go. Provided in the box are 4 sectioning clips, heatproof mat and the sleek black straighteners with gold coloured flowers and nano-ceramic plates. Heating up to 230 degrees there are 10 different heat settings. The higher settings perfect for straightening but reducing the heat for curling. These straighteners also heat up very quickly so they can be used shortly after putting them on which is great if in a hurry. Although my hair is ... Read the complete review

I have just had these straighteners for my birthday - whooppee! the pair I had before had become rubbish - don't reckon they were any good in the first place! These straighteners come with heat mat which you can also use to wrap around the straighteners whilst travelling. They also come with four hair clips but my hairs fairly thick and I find these just don't hold all my hair up, I tend to use a hair band to tie my hair up letting it down a bit at a time to straighten it. The straighteners have 10 settings which is great so if your hair is thin you can have it on a lower setting but if it's thick like mine you can have it on a higher setting ... I have ridiculously curly and bushy/frizzy hair because of the little bit of Caribbean in my blood. So I find straighteners can be a pain when it comes to taming my hair. I have used many straighteners including GHD's and before these my favourites were a pair of Remingtons, when they broke I needed some new ones! I chose these mainly because they are slim and get up to 230 degrees which for me is the heat I need to use. They are excellent, it only takes me around 30-40 minutes to straighten all of my hair (which is very long). They seem to be able to keep my hair under control all day and night which is something that has never happened before. They heat up ... Read the complete review

When first moving to the UK I had to find a decent straightener immediately as I didn't want the hassle of using an adapter all the time. I found this little gem in Boots for around 25 pounds and I thought it was a good bargain straightener. I thought I would still have to spend a lot more for something that would do a better job but this would do for now. I had always purchased expensive straighteners (150 and up) as no cheaper versions were ever able to straighten my wild curly hair. Upon first use of this it was amazing, it heated up VERY hot (it has 10 heat settings) VERY quickly. It's a good size although I would prefer the panels a little bigger. It took me 10 ...
