... burning the house down or anything. Although i have never had to rely on it, to be fair. The heating up in 15 seconds thing isn't perfectly accurate actually - the lowest heat definitely works in 15 seconds but for the highest heat it actually takes a little longer but I wouldn't bother too much about that as it's only a case of about 15 seconds not 15 minutes! In summary I think these are an ace product and definitely do not regret buying them! Cheers Babyliss!...more

Babyliss 2098BU Pro 230 Elegance: Straight, Sleek and Shiny hair! (529 words)

I bought these straighteners as a quick fix after my old pair bit the dust and wasn't expecting alot for the price! I've been proved wrong though as they've definitely proved worth more than the cost and have lasted very well! The plating on these straighteners does do as promised and keep hair sleek and shiny while straightening (or curling!). I have quite long thick hair with layers and so when straightening i sometimes find it hard to blend my hair so the layers don't look like a flight of stairs but the straighteners do blend it very well and keep my hair in check all day, which i love. As I've said my hair is thick but it is also quite unruly and so I ...  Read the complete review

Now as I've been a big, big fan of GHD's for many years, so it would take me a lot of persuading to change me to use something else. Well with my second pair starting to take a bit longer to heat up I decided to have a look about and as money was a bit tight, as it was just after Christmas, I was hoping to get something good in the sales. After much research on the internet I kept coming up with the same brand and name over and over again, it was the Babyliss 2098BU Pro 230 Elegance Straighteners. The reviews were great with people saying that they had replaced their GHDs with these and that they are so much better, well I had to give it a go. With a lot of ...  Read the complete review

Babyliss 2098BU Pro 230 Elegance: Best Ive found!! Amazing! (244 words)

I've got the thickest hair imaginable, and I really struggle to fine straighteners good enough to tame it. Last year I invested in some GHD's , but i was very disappointed, they were very cheap and i think they could have been fakes. A few months ago i bought the BaByliss 2098BU Pro 230 Elegance Hair Straightener in hot pink, I cant beleive how well they have worked. They don't only tame my hair but leave it dead straight all day. The straighteners are easy to use, just and on button and a bar to slide to witch temperature you would like (up to 230 degrees). I love the hot pink colour, and they are light and easy to hold. Straightening used to take me hours, ...  Read the complete review

Looks great, works great but doesn't last :( (164 words)

I loved this straightener when I first got it. I straighten my hair all the time, sometimes twice a day. I have quite frizy hair and this straightener is amazing, works right through curls and frizz to leave you with amazingly soft, shiny and of course uber straight hair. The actual straightener is gorgeous! It's kind of 'old school' glamour style, and looks so nice, as if it is part of the decoration in my room. I also really loved the fact that it came with a case, which is so useful for traveling. The only thing that is wrong with these straighteners is that after about a years' use, they have begun to disintegrate (the enamel on the irons ...  Read the complete review
