GHD is a British company based in Yorkshire, It was set up back in 2001 by Martin Penny and his friend Robert Powls. Robert had been sent a pair of straightners from a south korean inventor, they were the first pair of straightners using ceramic technology which had never been seen before. Being a ex hairdresser Robert had experience within the industry and he automatically knew that they were on to a winner, he suggested that they buy the rights to the product and which they did and they named it the Good Hair Day (GHD) company.
Within a short period of time and with no advertising this product was being endorsed by celebrities, salons and hair stylists across the country, the quality of the product was selling itself.
GHD hair straightners are now one of the most sought after straightners on the market, even with their high end price ticket and can now be found in 15 countries across the globe.

Now before I start all GHD straightners have a hologram which is located on the inside alongside the on/off switch which can assure that you have purchased a genuine pair of GHD straightners as unfortunately there are a lot of fakes out there.

The straightners have 2.5cm/1 inch ceramic plates which conduct heat very quickly and retain it effectively too, that when using the straightners pressure is distributed evenly across the hair creating a flawless style.
The straightners also have a new rounder barrel design, this design makes the straightners perfect for achieving those perfect curls, waves or flicks as well as the perfect straight hair too..

When you turn these straightners on the power indicator lights up along with a audiable beep, they then start to heat up and once they reach the optimum temperature of approx 180degrees they then give another audiable beep to alert you that they are now ready to be used.

Now this is my second pair of GHDs, I had used other branded ones in the past but they just didnt match up to that salon finish I was experiencing every time I went to get my hair done at my local salon, they just didnt match up to the quality and performance the GHDs delivered each time so on one trip to the hair salon I decided to buy myself a pair
Now I purchased these hair straightners approx 6 months ago ( my others were really on their last legs) so on a trip to my hair salon I noticed being displayed on the shelf behind the counter were these very eye catching, bright, sexy looking Fuschia pink GHDs
Now being a total girlie girl and absolutely loving the colour pink I really couldnt resist these straightners.

Although the straightners are very expensive with a retail price of between £119.00 - £135.00 dependng on where you purchase them I really do believe that they are worth every penny, they are one of those products available on the market that actually lives up to its name and delivers great results, builifully straight or styled hair with a healthy shine no matter your hair type.

I love how the ceramic plates heat up so quickly, Being a mum of a three year old and working from home Im one of those people always rushing around with little time so being able to switch them on and in less than 60 seconds they are at the optimum temperature is great for me.

I personally have very long hair, past the midway point of my spine which has a natural curl to it and I will openly admit that I am one of those girls who hates what they have got, I absolutely hate my hair being curly or even wavy. My hair has to be straight.. so a pair of straightners that can deliver perfectly sleek, straight hair with just one use of the straightners per section of hair is a dream and these certainly deliver.

A real must have for the girlie girls out there who want perfect hair.

Now I do have one little moan about them.. I wish that they came with a protective matt or wrap like other straightners on the market do as I have to leave them to cool down completely before I can put them away but its not a major issue.
