My daughter has some Nicky Clarke hair straighteners which I bought for her and me to use about 15 months ago. Previous to this she did have GHD straighteners. Unfortunately they were 2nd hand...and they broke! I have noticed that she had been using the ones I got us quite alot and would often take them with her when she wasn't with me....meaning I couldn't use them of course. I hadn't been bothering that much with my hair but knew it desperately needed to be cut and styled.
