Good straighteners, do the job nicely!

I bought my Remington Multistyle hair straighteners about a year and a half ago, as I had been using my previous straighteners since I was about 16...they were truly ancient!

I bought these from Boots, and at the time they were on offer for £25 which I thought was a bargain really! I was particularly interested in this product because of the curling function, although my main use would be for straightening.

The straighteners do not take long to heat up, which is great for me as I am really impatient. You can also adjust the temperature, which is useful depending on your hair type. I must admit, I do have the temperature quite high as I have very thick hair, but I like that you have an option! It usually takes about a minute for the straighteners to heat up - by the time I've brushed through my hair to get rid of knots they are ready to go.

I find that the straighteners do straighten really quickly - I remember being quite surprised! I usually only have to go over my hair a couple of times and it's done (and I do have very curly, untamable hair!) My hair is really soft too after using them, which I know is the case with most straighteners these days, but it doesn't feel brittle, and it doesn't look frizzy and static also (although this could also be something to do with the heat protection product that I use...the results were still never the same with my old straighteners though!)

The one problem that I do find with these are that I can't seem to get the curlers to do their job. Now, I must admit, I'm no good with actual curlers either, so it could just be me not having the "knack" - but, I do really struggle to get these straighteners to actually do the curling. However, I do like that you can adjust how tight or loose you want to curls dependant on how far out you take the plastic "sides" of the straightener - I think this is a really good idea!

Overall, I am really impressed with these straighteners, especially for the price that I paid, and I would recommend them. And if you know how to curl properly, please pass on any tips! :)
