Why and Where:

I have dead straight hair that I have never been able to curl with regular curling tongs, so when a few of my friends bought one of these curling wands I thought Id jump on the band wagon and get one myself. It was only around £25 so it didnt break the bank and arrived swiftly from Amazon within a few days.

Advantages:

I tried it out straight away and saw instant results. You can choose the temperature you want the wand to go up to, the hotter you choose the tighter and longer lasting your curls will be (for someone with very straight hair like myself i always choose the hottest one). At first it took me a while to get used to it and get the hang of the technique but after the second or third time using the wand I managed to achieve lovely curls. The wand gives a different type of curl to a normal curling wand, but I like the different look. It is easy to achieve different looks by varying the amount of time you wrap your hair around the wand, you can get tight curls or beachy waves easily. It is a unique design which really works and I am very impressed as it gave my dead straight hair a lovely curl that lasts several hours.

Disadvantages:

It comes with a little heat proof glove to wear while using the wand- this is essential as it goes up to 200 degrees and it is very easy to burn your fingers! At first it can be quite hard to use, and so Id definitely recommend practising before you plan on going on a night out with curly hair, as my first attempt went pretty wrong!

Verdict:

I really like this product, it gives quite a unique style of curl and after a bit of practise is easy and quick to use. For £25 you cant go wrong!
