Finally - salon straight hair at home! - GHD Gold Classic Hair Styler Hair Styler
My hair is quite thick and although not super long, I tend to wear hair extensions more often than not and when I sleep at night my hair often awakes resembling that of a birds nest. With my birthday last week I had been hinting at my other half for some new hair straighteners and he was very lovely to present me with these!

The straighteners are really good quality with a slim and sleek design, and a simple on/off button to turn them on. They make a small beeping sound when turned on and again when at the right temperature so there is no guessing and overheating with these straighteners as they give you some decent accuracy! The plates are red white slight specks of gold in the plates. The cord is really long which is beneficial for me as I tend to straighten my hair in the bathroom mirror and the socket sis just outside the door so it's ideal for stretching around and allowing me to use it with ease - not cramped on a mirror on the floor near the socket as I used to do previously! A good thing about these GHD's is that they come with a plate guard which is heatproof so this is good for my storage after using it until they cool down.

In terms of straightening these work on my hair (and hair extensions!) really well and just gliding it through my hair once I instantly notice the kinks from the night before are gone in an instant without me repeatedly straightening the same bits of hair over and over like I used to with my old (non-GHD) straighteners. When hot and in use, one thing I am appreciating is that the outer handles don't get hot at all so making the entire straightening experience not uncomfortable in the slightest.

Obviously I wasn't going to ask him how much he got these for, and knowing him being a guy he didn't shop around but I have seen them going on amazon for about £100 which I think is a general standard for a pair of GHD straighteners anyway.

I would recommend these straighteners to anyone (who can afford!) straighteners to give her a luxurious and straight feel extremely effortlessly. Not repeatedly straightening means less heat damage to the hair and this will prove fruitful in the long run as it prevents so much damage. I am glad I got them as a gift as it would have broken my heart slightly to shell out so much money for them and I do think £100 is steep!

Summary: loving my birthday pressie - these straighteners!
